A good seal-coating result starts before any coating goes down. Assessment, cleaning, drying and preparation determine whether the finish has a sound surface to bond to.
The exact programme changes with the driveway and the weather, but the decision points remain the same.
From enquiry to handover
- Send the driveway detailsUse the estimate request to share the address, dimensions, surface condition, photos and any useful notes.
- We review the surfaceWe check the surface type, cracking, drainage, access, loading and preparation needs. A site assessment may be required before scope and price are confirmed.
- Prepare accessBefore work starts, vehicles and movable items are cleared and alternative access is arranged for the closure period.
- Clean the asphaltThe surface is pressure washed and loose material, organic growth and relevant contaminants are removed.
- Allow it to dryThe driveway will typically need one to two suitable dry days after washing, depending on shade, weather and the condition of the surface.
- Complete crack and surface preparationSuitable cracks and degraded areas are prepared. Some repairs need additional curing time or another visit before the full surface can be coated.
- Apply the selected coatingThe accepted surface receives the residential rejuvenation, distressed-surface or high-performance treatment confirmed for the job.
- Keep the area closed while it curesCustomers are normally advised to allow 24 to 48 hours before vehicle use. We confirm the exact reopening time after application.
- HandoverYou receive the completion and care instructions together with the agreed invoice and payment directions.
Weather and surface condition set the pace
Pressure washing, drying, crack preparation and application do not always happen on consecutive calendar days. Rain, low temperatures, shade, humidity and overnight moisture can change the timing.
A cracked driveway may also need an extra visit so repairs can cure before the wider coating is applied. We confirm the practical programme once the condition and forecast are clear.
